Matt Podesta, President
Matt currently serves as President of the company (beginning in 2008 as part of the business ownership transition). Prior to 2008, he served as the Company’s Vice President. His current responsibilities include day to day management of the company, overseeing marketing, sales, production, finance and HR. To a certain extent, he has worked continuously in this industry for 20+ years.

As the son of a newly established Construction company, he became a source of cheap labor. He was formally introduced to the construction world at the ripe age of 12 when his father started the Company in 1986. It was through many high school and college summers that he expanded his first hand knowledge of Carpentry and the remodeling industry. During those periods of his education, his goal was to pursue a career in business. The University of California at Santa Barbara offered an excellent degree in Business Economics in which he obtained a B.A. with an emphasis in Accounting. Earning scholastic achievements in accounting courses, he was fortunate enough to be offered full-time employment by KPMG, prior to his graduation.

Public Accounting in the late 90’s in the Bay Area was a time of IPO’s and very long hours. It was an incredible opportunity to develop a business understanding in many industries including Construction, Software, Real Estate, Banking and New Media. For many of those who worked in high tech during the dot.com era, you can understand his decision to pursue a senior finance position with a start-up company developing advanced fiber optic telecommunication equipment. At Cyrus Systems he had the opportunity to assist in an Oracle implementation and also assist the company in achieving ISO certification. It was a high paced environment that ended abruptly when the company was sold in 2001.

2001 could be described as returning to his roots when he re-entered the remodeling industry after recognizing the potential that his father had developed over the previous 15 years. From 2001 the company has evolved under his leadership to obtain some of the highest recognitions in the industry. We have won numerous awards in multiple categories. The company has been recognized as one of the Top 50 in the country under the category of Design-Build. We continue to be customer centric as we develop and refine how we deliver our services. This focus is ingrained in our company culture and is the fundamental component of our success and why we have a strong history of outstanding client recognition. We continue to develop and expand our team of professionals to meet the growing need of clients who appreciate what excellence in remodeling represents.

He continues to stay active in the Industry serving on the Board of Directors and the current Treasurer of the local San Francisco Chapter of NARI. He is a licensed CPA in the state of California. He also serves in a leadership capacity for Remodelers Advantage, a national based Consulting company focused on the remodeling industry. In 2004 he was recognized by an Industry publication, Remodeling Magazine, as 1 of 3 that will have significant influence over the remodeling industry over the next generation.
